With an aim to curb unemployment in the state, Akhilesh Yadav-led UP government has joined hands with NATCO group to organise a job fair - 'Naukri Mahakumbh', a report published in TOI said.

The said job fair will be organised on Aug 5 and the venue will be industrial capital of the state i.e. Kanpur.

The department of Employment and Training, Government of Uttar Pradesh, has claimed that the fair is India's first and the only mass job opportunity programme organised thus far.

Over 29 firms are expected to participate in the 'Naukri Mahakumbh' to offer more than 5,000 jobs.

As part of its endeavor to provide employment to scores of jobless youths, the state government has tied up with Natco group which organizes job fairs across the country to hold a similar one in the state. The Department of Employment and Training in association with Natco Training Pvt Ltd, would be organising a job fair in Kanpur at the State Regional Employment Exchange
